Hey friends, welcome to the Avenue 26 Imperial Food Market!
We were so excited to try all the delicious food that this market has to offer.
If you’re anything like us, you’re ready to eat and try as many different things as possible. And luckily for you, we’ve tried a few different things to help you avoid getting something you might not like.
Table of Contents
Get a Michelagua
First up, we decided to try the michelagua. It comes with all sorts of toppings like pineapple and a lollipop.
Which Types of Food Are At The Night Market?
And let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious. 10 out of 10. And the best part? It only cost $10.
This market has a little bit of everything, from Mexican candy to tacos and waffles.
They even have a stand selling bongs, artwork, jewelry, and even toys. But what really caught our attention was the food.
They have so many different options to choose from, it’s almost overwhelming. But in a good way!
We saw a stand selling hamburgers and hot Cheetos, another selling Nutella covered corn and even more ice cream and desserts.
As we were walking down the street, we came across a pizza place that caught our eye.
Amazing Cheap & Delicious Tacos
But we were on a mission to try tacos at the stand on the far side closest to the parking lot, so we asked them for recommendations.
The brisket was a popular choice, so we decided to try that and also get the pastor.
Both were delicious and only $2 each! The meat was perfectly seasoned and the avocado sauce was a great addition.
They also give you their signature potatoes which are also delicious.
The Surprisingly Delicious Item
But the real surprise was when we came across a stand called Pasta Italiano el Chino.
We’ve heard of street tacos, but street pasta?
That’s a new one for us. We decided to try the shrimp with Alfredo, mushroom, olive, and tomato and it was delicious. The noodles were a little overcooked, but overall, it had great taste.
One thing to keep in mind is that you’ll probably have to stand and eat, so make sure you’re comfortable with that.
But it was all worth it for the delicious food.
Sushi el Mexicano
Okay, so we’ve been on a mission to try all the different types of food at this market and next up is sushi. We came across a stand that had a variety of rolls to choose from and we decided to try the shrimp crunchy roll.
Unfortunately, the rice was a bit mushy, but overall it wasn’t the best sushi we’ve ever had.
But for $10, it’s not a bad option if you’re looking for a quick sushi fix.
The shrimp was pretty good though. So if you’re in the market for some sushi, it’s worth checking out this stand.
Carnitas
If you’re looking for some delicious carnitas tacos, we highly recommend checking out Don Carlos Carnitas.
We got a $5 carnitas taco and it was tender, juicy and delicious.
The flavors were spot on and it was definitely one of the best tacos we’ve had at the market. The stand was also really popular so we knew it had to be good.
It’s a great option for those looking for a tasty and affordable meal. Highly recommended!
