6 Ideas For What To Do In Downtown LA on a Sunday

If you’re looking for something to do in Downtown LA on a Sunday, for example, if you’re heading there for a game, a concert or just to hang out, these are some fun ideas for you. Especially if you have a dog.

Click the video above to steal some ideas from our itinerary!

Get Coffee

Tilt Coffee Bar –  334 S Main St Kiosk #1, Los Angeles, CA

There are a lot of great places to get coffee in Downtown LA even on Sunday.

One spot that has a nice vibe, is small and has a lot of outdoor seating for you and your pup is Tilt Coffee.

You can enjoy a cloud latte (or cold brew) and relax.

Other notable ones are Philz Coffee and if you’re into a place that’s super instagram-friendly, then check out Matte Black.

Matte Black Coffee – 1001 S Broadway C, Los Angeles, CA

Get Tacos

Once again, there’s no shortage of tacos in downtown LA. But if you’re looking for ones that are consistently delicious and without too much of a wait time, you need to check out Sonoratown.

The tortillas are so well-made and if you’re a fan of green onions, you’ll love these tacos.

There’s also outdoor seating for you and your pup.

Sonoratown – 208 E 8th St, Los Angeles, CA

The best review on this spot is from Soogi C on Google:

If I have any friend visiting LA, I would recommend this place rather than Hollywood or Disneyland. You can’t miss this, the best taco and mexican in LA.

If you’re not able to make it to this spot, you can also check out Guisados as well.

Grand Central Market Has Just About Everything For You

One of the most awesome places in all of LA is Grand Central Market.

You can get coffee there as well as some breakfast/lunch items, desserts and more.

You can watch the video above for some ideas on what to get for breakfast if you’re starting your day out in downtown on a Sunday morning.

They open at 8am so you can get your day started nice and early (you can also beat the crowds).

Hang Out and Relax

If you’re not in a hurry, you can always hang out and relax. These 2 spots are also dog friendly.

The Bloc – 700 W 7th St, Los Angeles, CA

The Bloc in downtown has lots of different shops as well as seating areas. There’s also some fake grass for your pup to sniff and walk on.

Grand Park – 200 N Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA

Grand Park is a big park right in the middle of downtown.

There’s lots of space and also has a playground for kids, a big grassy area and even a small dog park.

There are tons of events that happen there and you can also grab a bite to eat at the food trucks that stop there.

Head to Little Tokyo

Little Tokyo is great on Sundays because you’ll find tons of things to eat.

You can also grab drinks while you’re there.

Lots of folks head to Angel City Brewery for beers but there’s a hip spot right next to it called ‘Truly’.

Truly – 216 S Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA

There’s lots of indoor and outdoor seating and these drinks were pretty strong.

Hop on Over to Smorgasburg for Lots of Food Options

The Row is a great spot on Sundays.

You can grab coffee at Go Get Em Tiger or stop by any of the many restaurants there. (one of our personal favorites is Pikunico for Japanese fried chicken).

Smorgasburg LA –  777 S Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA

In the video above, we tried to see how much we could get for $50.

Even if you’re on a budget, you can get quite a few delicious things while you’re there.
