1. Dim Sum Express – 326 N Garfield Ave, Monterey Park, CA 91754

Dim Sum Express in Monterey Park is a small dim sum window open seven days a week.

They have a fairly large menu and you can order individual items on its own. I think this is the only place you can do that. They don’t have any seating here, so it’s only for takeaway.

We spent $6.57. (Parking is in the back).

We got ourselves a steaming box of mixed dim sum. That charsiu bao was flavorful.

Shumai was jumbo. And the turnip cake was fried to perfection.

2. Ocean Island – 421 N Atlantic Blvd #101, Monterey Park, CA 91754

Ocean Island in Monterey Park is a half Chinese barbecue and half fast food dimsum spot with a variety of classic Dimsum items.

They’re open from 7:30 AM till 7:30 PM We got five items for a total of $28.96. Overall, this is a standard quick and easy place to grab dim Sum.

3. Dim Sum (Yum Cha) Cafe – 1635 S San Gabriel Blvd, San Gabriel, CA 91776

Inside the San Gabriel Superstore, you can find another quick and easy dim sum spot called Dim Sum Cafe. They have lots of the same classic items that you could find in many other dim sum cafes.

We spent about $13 and without a lot of wait time, which was about five minutes total.

4. Lucky 1 Restaurant – 7637 Garvey Ave, Rosemead, CA 91770

Another quick and easy dim sum spot that you can find in Rosemead is called Lucky one Restaurant. It’s very budget friendly and every item is between $3.89 and $4.39.

We spent about $14 here total, and you can find various items that you might not find at other dim sum restaurants.

It’s quite average price-wise. It’s worth it, I guess, because these are huge. It was chaotic in there and. Everyone’s just standing around. There’s like no rhyme or reason to things. She gave me a number for some reason, even though I got to go stuff and she just put it in a box.

5. Capital Dim Sum & BBQ – 727 W Garvey Ave, Monterey Park, CA 91754

Capital Seafood Restaurant has a takeaway shop a few doors down called Capital Seafood, dim Sum Barbecue. You can expect restaurant quality. For a quick to go price here, each item is $5.48.

Look at her pack that box of noodles.

You can get a chicken bun, spare ribs, spare noodles, beef tendon, shumai, and our favorite, the chives dumpling. All at Capital Dim Sum & BBQ.
